BOSTON - Two JetBlue Airbuses collided at Boston Airport on Thursday. This was announced by the FAA. Both aircraft were damaged to the extent that they could not continue their journey. The aviation authority is conducting an investigation.

The collision between an Airbus A321 and an Airbus A321neo occurred on the de-icing apron at Logan International Airport. The planes were en route to Las Vegas and Orlando, respectively.

Damage to the winglet on one aircraft and to the horizontal stabilizer on the other meant that neither could continue their journey and passengers had to be rebooked.

Both the FAA and JetBlue are investigating.
