On 11 April 2024, Scoot took delivery of its first Embraer E190-E2. The aircraft was handed-over during a ceremony at São José dos Campos, with representatives of the airline, manufacturer and lessor Azorra present. It's registered 9V-NHA and will be ferried to Singapore via Recife, Las Palmas, Athens, Dubai-World Central, and Hyderabad. It's expected to arrive at its home base on 15 April 2024.
The new Embraer is the first of nine Scoot is leasing from Azorra. Commercial operations are due to start on 7 May 2024. Before that date, the airline will also take delivery of a second one.
The first destinations announced it will serve with its new E190-E2s are Hat Yai, Krabi, Koh Samui, Kuantan, Miri, and Sibu. Next to to the E190-E2, Scoot's fleet is made-up of seventeen Airbus A320s, six A320neos, nine A321neos, eleven Boeing B787-8s, and ten B787-9s.
