20-FEB-2024

On this day we planned to go to Volkel in the morning for the morning wave and after the departure of the morning wave we drove towards Weeze Airport for an B727 from 2Excel Aviation but was delayed by an hour so we couldn't see it during take-off because we would otherwise be to late at Nörvenich for the first wave to depart because there was night flying.

Around 0700 we departed from home towards Volkel where we arrived around 0830. At 0930 sadly only 1 F-35A from 313sq took to the skies.

At 1000 we departed Volkel to go to Weeze where we arrived around 1050 for an 2Excel Aviation B727. Sadly the Aircraft was delayed by more than an hour so we had to leave before it took off.

Around 1130 we departed Weeze towards Nörvenich were we arrived at 1345, just after we arrived the first Eurofighters started their engines. At 1415 the first 3 Eurofighters departed followed by an Tornado at 1422 that departed for a test flight.

At 1427 the next 2 Tornado's departed for their local training mission. At 1428 a single Tornado departed followed by another single Tornado that departed at 1435 towards the Nordhorn Range with dummy bombs under it's fuselage.

At 1440 another single Tornado departed towards the Nordhorn Range with dummy bombs under it's fuselage. Just after the last Tornado departed 2 Eurofighters also departed around 1455.

Just after the last fighters took to the skies the first Tornado already returned, it was the Tornado that performed the test flight.

At 1505 JOKER68 (77+01) arrived from Heeresflugplatz Niederstetten to our surprise.

Between 1530 and 1615 all the fighters returned home except for one Eurofighter that returned in the evening during the return of the evening wave.

At 1703 77+01 took off as RESQ41 2 hours after it landed as JOKER68 and landed again around 1855 after training in the dark at the norht side of the field with it's search light.

Around 1940 the 4 Tornado's departed in the dark with their beautifull blue afterburners. Around 1950 the 4 Eurofighters also departed for their night flying training.

Between 2110 and 2200 all the fighters landed back again, the last 2 fighters were 2 Eurofighters but they landed 15min after they were supposed to. The tower mentioned that the last fighter jet had to land at 2145 at the latest because of noise regulations.

Around 2200 we departed back to home were we arrived around 0100 in the night.
